Fake Name Generator

Free fake name generator that makes random names, emails, US addresses and phone numbers for testing. Runs in your browser, no sign-up, private.

What the Fake Name Generator does

This tool builds random, realistic-looking profiles for when you need placeholder people instead of real ones. Each result bundles a full name, a matching example.com email, a US street address with city, state and ZIP, and a phone number. It is handy for filling out a sign-up form during testing, seeding a database, populating a UI mockup, or showing a demo without exposing anyone’s real details.

It is aimed at developers, QA testers, designers and anyone who needs believable sample data fast. The names and details are invented, so use them for testing and prototypes, not to impersonate real people.

How to use it

  1. Set the How many field to the number of profiles you want, anywhere from 1 to 100. It opens with 3 ready to go.
  2. A batch appears in the output box right away. Press Generate (the ↻ button) any time you want a fresh set of names.
  3. Read the results in the box below. Each profile spans four lines: name, email, address and phone.
  4. Click Copy to send the whole list to your clipboard, then paste it into your form, spreadsheet, test script or design file.

Why generate names here

It is quick: results show up the moment the page loads and refresh on a single click. It is private, since everything is generated locally in your browser with nothing uploaded or saved. And it is free, with no account, no limits and nothing to install. You can bump the count up to 100 to seed a list, or keep it at one for a single test user.

Tip: each click of Generate reshuffles every field, so if a particular address or phone format does not suit you, just generate again until it fits.

Need to churn out test fixtures across many files at once? The BulkPro desktop app from the same team handles batch jobs like that.

Frequently asked questions

What does each generated profile include?
Every entry gives you a full name, a matching email on the example.com domain, a US-style street address (street, city, state and ZIP) and a phone number. The four lines sit together so you can paste a complete fake profile at once.
How many fake names can I generate at a time?
Use the How many field to pick any number from 1 to 100. It starts at 3. Change the number and the list updates instantly, or press Generate to roll a fresh batch with different names.
Are these real people or real addresses?
No. Every name, email, address and phone number is randomly assembled and not tied to any real person. The data is meant for development, QA, demos and form testing only, never for deceiving anyone.
Is the generated data private?
Yes. The whole tool runs in your browser, so nothing is sent to a server and nothing is stored. Close the tab and the data is gone.
