This policy explains what information JotTools (jottools.com) collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.

Your tool data stays on your device

The tools on JotTools process your input locally in your browser. The text, files, images and values you enter are not uploaded to or stored on our servers. When you close or reload the page, that data is gone. One exception worth noting: a small number of in-browser tools (for example OCR / image-to-text) download their processing engine from a third-party content-delivery network the first time you use them; your image is still processed locally and is not sent to that network.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand which tools are useful and how the site performs (aggregate page views, approximate location at country level, device type, referrer). Google Analytics sets cookies and processes data on our behalf. We do not use it to identify you personally. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out add-on.

Advertising

To keep JotTools free, we may display advertising, including Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalized advertising via Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' cookies at aboutads.info.

Cookies

Cookies are small files stored by your browser. We and our analytics/advertising partners use them as described above. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; core tool functionality will still work.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to data portability. Because our tools do not collect personal data and analytics data is pseudonymous and aggregate, most requests concern the cookies set by Google. For EU/EEA/UK visitors, where required we rely on consent for non-essential analytics and advertising cookies. To exercise any right, contact us below.

Children

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.
