Bold Text Generator

Free bold text generator. Turn plain text into bold, italic and mono Unicode you can paste into Instagram, X, LinkedIn and Discord bios. No sign-up.

What the Bold Text Generator does

This tool rewrites your words using Unicode characters that already look bold, italic, or monospace. Instagram, X, TikTok, LinkedIn and Discord do not give you a bold button, so people copy styled text from a generator like this one and paste it in. It is handy for bio lines, post captions, headlines, usernames, and anywhere you want a word or two to stand out.

A quick honesty note: these are styled characters, not true formatting. They are perfect for short, eye-catching bits of text, not long paragraphs.

How to use it

  1. Type or paste your text into the input box at the top.
  2. Open the Style dropdown and choose Bold, Italic, Bold Italic, or Mono.
  3. Watch the styled version appear in the output box right away, no button to press.
  4. Hit Copy, then paste it into your bio, post, or message.

Want to compare looks? Flip the Style dropdown back and forth and the output rewrites itself each time. Bold and Mono style digits too, so phone numbers and dates keep the effect.

Why use this one

It runs entirely in your browser. Whatever you type stays on your device, nothing gets sent to a server, and there is no account to create. That also makes it quick: the result updates as you type, with no upload wait and no page reload.

Everything here is free with no limits, and it works the same on a phone, tablet, or laptop. The Copy button drops the characters onto your clipboard cleanly, so they land in the target app exactly as shown.

A tip before you post

Paste a short test into your target app first. Almost every current platform renders these characters well, but a handful of older fields show empty boxes. Thirty seconds of checking saves a broken-looking bio later.

Frequently asked questions

How do I get bold text on Instagram or X when there is no bold button?
Type your words into the Bold Text Generator, pick the Bold style, then copy the result and paste it straight into your Instagram bio, caption, X post or LinkedIn headline. The bold look is built from Unicode characters, so it survives the paste even though those apps have no formatting button.
Is this real bold formatting or special characters?
It is special Unicode characters that already look bold, italic or monospace. There is no hidden HTML, so the styled text stays bold wherever you paste it. Because they are distinct symbols, screen readers and some search boxes may read them differently than normal letters, so use them for display, not body text.
What styles can I generate?
Four: Bold (𝐁𝐨π₯𝐝), Italic (πΌπ‘‘π‘Žπ‘™π‘–π‘), Bold Italic (𝑩𝒐𝒍𝒅 π‘°π’•π’‚π’π’Šπ’„) and Monospace (π™Όπš˜πš—πš˜). Switch between them from the Style dropdown and the output updates instantly. Bold and Mono also style numbers.
Will the bold text work on every app?
Most modern apps and phones render these Unicode characters fine, including Instagram, X, Facebook, TikTok, Discord, WhatsApp and LinkedIn. A few older systems or plain-text fields may show boxes instead, so paste a quick test before posting something important.
