Image Rotator

Rotate an image 90, 180 or 270 degrees and flip it horizontally or vertically in your browser. Free, private, no upload, no sign-up. Download as PNG.

What the Image Rotator does

Got a photo that came out sideways, a scan that is upside down, or a screenshot that needs mirroring? This tool turns any image to the angle you want and lets you flip it, then hands you a clean PNG to download. It is handy for fixing phone photos shot in the wrong orientation, straightening scanned documents, preparing product shots, or mirroring a picture before posting it.

Because the work happens right inside your browser, there is no upload step and no waiting room. Your file stays on your own device the whole time.

How to use it

  1. Drag an image into the drop box, or click to pick one from your device. JPG, PNG and WebP all work.
  2. Open the Rotate menu and choose how far to turn it: 0, 90, 180 or 270 degrees. The 90 and 270 options swap the width and height, so a landscape photo becomes portrait and back again.
  3. Want a mirror image too? Tick Flip horizontal to reverse left and right, or Flip vertical to reverse top and bottom. You can use either, both, or neither.
  4. Click Rotate to apply your choices.
  5. Download the finished image. It saves as a PNG.

Why rotate here

It is quick: pick an angle, click once, done. It is private, since the rotation runs locally and nothing is sent to a server. And it is free with no sign-up and no file limits hanging over you. A quarter or half turn simply reorders pixels, so your photo keeps its original sharpness.

Tip: if a picture looks tilted after rotating, you probably want a flip rather than another turn. Try Flip horizontal first and preview the result. If you regularly process big batches of images at once, the BulkPro desktop app from the same team is built for that kind of volume.

Frequently asked questions

How do I rotate an image 90 degrees?
Drop your image into the tool, open the Rotate menu and pick 90 degrees, then click Rotate and download the result. You can also choose 180 or 270 degrees for half and three-quarter turns.
Can I flip an image instead of rotating it?
Yes. Tick Flip horizontal to mirror the image left to right, or Flip vertical to mirror it top to bottom. You can combine a flip with a rotation in the same step if you need both.
Does rotating reduce the quality of my photo?
No. Rotating by 90, 180 or 270 degrees just rearranges the existing pixels, so there is no quality loss. The result is saved as a PNG to keep it crisp.
Are my images uploaded anywhere?
No. The rotation happens entirely in your browser using a canvas, so your image never leaves your device. There is no upload, no account and no waiting on a server.
